home sweet home

We have finally decided on an apartment in Shanghai! Rich toured at least a dozen different properties in a variety of neighborhoods many different weekends. He took lots of pictures to share with me and we spent a lot of time trying to weigh the pro's and con's of various buildings and neighborhoods.

The result: Tomson Riviera

The apartment we will be renting is approximately 4000 sq. ft., has 3 bedrooms plus an office, a great master bed/bath and separate Ayi (the hired help) quarters. The property features some wonderful amenities and is very close to Rich's office. It is not in the trendiest of neighborhoods, but we decided that space and proximity to the office are more important to us now that we will be spending more time at home with Angela.

Hopefully the lease will be signed soon so that this is official. Rich will move in June 14 and our shipment from NY should arrive sometime that week. We are still working on passports, visas and flights for me and Ang but we will likely be moving the 2nd week of July.

Happy Baby

Angela has started smiling more and more. This is likely just gas but it really makes my day to see. We finally got a picture of it...

Ang and I spent the day relaxing at home on the couch after a night of almost no sleep. I think she has been having some reflux and gas issues which we will talk to the pediatrician about this week at her 1 month check-up. She does seem to be feeling much better today. The spitting up has stopped and she slept in her crib for 45 minutes this morning!! I can't believe my baby is 4 weeks old today!
